The Imported Complete Equipment Quality Should Be Paid Attention to

According to Wujiang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau statistics, in 2009 the Bureau examined a total of 1,051 batches of imported equipment, 3,764 sets of goods worth 217 million US dollars, mainly including machine tools, textile printing and dyeing machinery and other complete sets of equipment. The inspection found that there were 32 batches and 117 sets of unqualified complete sets of imported equipment with a value of USD 8.059 million. The quality of imported complete sets of equipment was not optimistic.
It is understood that the inspection and quarantine department discovered during the inspection process that these unqualified equipment mainly suffered from shortages in quantity, intrinsic quality defects in equipment, and unqualified safety performance. To this end, the Bureau reminds importers to pay attention to the following issues: First, the safety performance of the machinery is unqualified. The whole set of equipment is exposed with bare moving parts and no safety protection device. The movable guard doors and hoods are not equipped with interlocking protective devices according to the national mandatory standards. The dangerous parts that may cause harm to the operators on the equipment are not provided with safety warning signs according to the national mandatory standards.
The second is the unqualified electrical safety performance. The grounding wire and grounding mark of the equipment do not meet the national mandatory standards and there is no effective grounding. The inner conductor of the equipment has no fixed measures and the configuration is disordered, the live parts are exposed, no insulation protection measures are taken, and the electrical safety standards are not met. The voltage of imported equipment is single-phase 110VAC or three-phase 220VAC, which is inconsistent with the standard voltage in China.
The third is the shortage of quantity. The shortage of arrivals was mainly due to imported textile machinery such as texturing machines. The reason is that the supplier failed to deliver the goods in time according to the time stipulated in the contract, resulting in the Chinese consignee not being able to install the equipment in time and put it into production.
Fourth, quality problems: The quality of the components of the textile machinery such as texturing machines that are imported is of poor quality, and the equipment cannot be used normally. The equipment failed during the warranty period.
