·Traditional strength PK emerging forces 2016 bus industry is now three major changes

Under the tyranny of traditional tycoons and emerging forces, the competition pattern of passenger cars in 2016 has changed dramatically!
In this year, there have been many new changes in the bus industry. The following three new changes were unexpected at the beginning of the year.
Change 1: In the market of more than 6 meters and the large and medium-sized passenger market, Zhongtong surpassed Suzhou Jinlong for the first time and became the “second child” of the passenger car industry;
Change 2: BYD has triumphed all the way, ranking fourth in the market of more than 6 meters, and it is the throne of the second child in the big passenger market;
Change 3: The rapid rise of emerging brands such as Nanjing Jinlong, CRRC Times and Zhuhai Yinlong has caused a lot of impact on the sales of established companies in the industry, and even stole the industry rankings of some established companies.
The changes in the competition pattern of this series of industries also reflect that the rise of new energy buses has accelerated the reshuffle of the bus industry. Many traditional powers have lost or even marginalized, and many emerging powers have become "new mainstreams". (Remarks: The full-text analysis is based on the statistics of the China Bus Statistical Information Network, and the bus sales of each company refers to models of more than 6 meters.)
Yutong is sitting in the boss's throne in the sales of the runner-up
Statistics show, 2016 The overall sales volume of the bus industry (referring to more than 6 meters) was 217,000 units, a slight increase of 2% compared with the 213,000 units in 2015. In terms of the total amount, the industry is slightly growing, and the performance of each bus company is completely different.
In 2016, Yutong maintained a healthy and steady development. Its sales volume of passenger cars over 6 meters was 64,877, which was 2.4% higher than the previous year's high sales base, with a market share of 29.8%; and it was close to the industry's second-ranked company. The gap of 10,000 vehicles (46411 vehicles) is a leader.

Despite the solid position of “Big Brother” Yutong, the pattern of “one pass and three dragons” that dominated the bus industry for more than a decade was completely broken. In 2016, Zhongtong was in the market of more than 6 meters, with a sales volume of 18,466 vehicles and a growth rate of 5.5%. In 2015, it surpassed Dajinlong in the battle results. For the first time, it was the runner-up of Suzhou Jinlong, which became the industry's “second child”. Its sales volume is 3,503 more than that of Suzhou Jinlong.
At the same time, in 2016, the large and medium bus market (L>7 meters), Zhongtong also sold more than 14,741 vehicles, with a share of 7.6%, surpassing Suzhou Jinlong for the first time, but the gap is not big, only more than the sales of Suzhou Jinlong. Out of 186 vehicles.
The two established companies of Yutong and Zhongtong can develop steadily, benefiting from the consolidation of the traditional market and the new energy market opportunities.
Veteran companies are affected by the impact of Hengtong, youth marginalization
with Yutong, Zhongtong The difference between enterprises is that many old bus companies have lost their original market share in the rise of new energy buses, and this effect is particularly noticeable in 2016. In addition to the overall decline in the industry rankings of the three Golden Dragon companies in 2016, many established bus companies have even entered the marginalization.
Perhaps due to some accidental factors, Suzhou Jinlong was forced to give up the "second child" status of the industry and then fell to the "third" position. In 2016, Suzhou Jinlong sold 14,963 passenger cars over 6 meters, down 26.2% year-on-year; its market share dropped from 9.6% in 2015 to 6.9%, and its market share decreased by 2.7 percentage points.

Xiamen Jinlong and Xiamen Golden Brigade in “Three Dragons” also failed to make rapid progress in 2016. In 2016, Xiamen Jinlong and Xiamen Golden Brigade sold 11,940 vehicles and 12,184 passenger cars respectively, down 21.5% and 5.7% respectively, with market shares of 5.5% and 5.6% respectively.
In addition, many old bus companies have not been able to become the new energy source, and they will not retreat in the development. Since these companies have not been among the first-line brands and lost their share in the new energy field, their annual sales have even exceeded 1,000, and they have gradually slipped to the edge.
For example, in 2016, Hengtong Bus sold 678 vehicles (3,688 vehicles in 2012); youth passenger cars sold 269 vehicles (3,408 vehicles in 2012); Guilin passenger cars sold only 781 vehicles (2,250 vehicles in 2012); Yellow River passenger cars sold 1,090 vehicles (4,584 units in 2012).
The new forces have risen and BYD has rushed into the top four Yinlong, Zhongche, and Nanjing Jinlongcheng "new upstarts".
Some of the old bus companies have lost or even marginalized. The important reason is that the newcomers who have entered the bus industry have risen. These passenger cars are “new”, not only quickly entering the mainstream camp of passenger cars, but even subverting the original competitive landscape of the industry.
The most eye-catching than BYD, relying on pure electric single models, in one fell swoop than Xiamen Jinlong, Xiamen Golden Brigade, ranked fourth in the bus industry. In 2016, BYD sold 13278 vehicles over 6 meters, which was a 145.9% increase from 5400 in 2015. The market share reached 6.1%, and the gap with the third-ranked Suzhou Jinlong was only 1,685.

In recent years, Fukuda Ou Hui has been developing rapidly and has maintained rapid growth in 2016. In 2016, Ou Hui sold nearly 10,000 vehicles (9599 vehicles), an increase of 18.8% year-on-year, and the market share increased by 0.6 percentage points by 4.4%, standing at the threshold of 10,000 clubs.
In addition, Zhuhai Yinlong, Zhongche Times, and Nanjing Jinlong, three late-stage companies, have also emerged rapidly and become new mainstream enterprises. In 2016, Zhuhai Yinlong, CRRC Times and Nanjing Jinlong, three bus companies with new energy vehicles, sold 5,285 vehicles, 4,277 vehicles and 4,645 vehicles respectively, replacing the position of the former established companies.
Starting from 2017, what will happen to the competition pattern in the bus industry? Which established companies will lose in the fierce competition? Which emerging forces will be promoted to newcomers?
The accident will always exist!
