From January to August of 2010, a total of 210,000 vehicles were subsidized by vehicles for the trade-in, and the average monthly subsidy vehicles were approximately 6.9 times of the average monthly subsidy vehicles in 2009. Subsidy funds amounted to RMB 2.955 billion, driving the consumption of new vehicles by RMB 25.3 billion. In August, a total of 24,000 subsidized vehicles were traded for cars in the country, an increase of 82% over July, and a subsidy of 340 million yuan.
From the model perspective, the number of cars with the oldest trade subsidies accounted for the highest proportion, followed by large and medium-sized passenger cars and light trucks. From January to August, nearly 90,000 vehicles were subsidized nationwide, accounting for approximately 42% of the total number of subsidized vehicles. Medium-sized passenger cars and light-duty trucks accounted for 30% and 17% of the total subsidy respectively.
From a regional point of view, the number of vehicles with the oldest trade subsidies for subsidies is Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Anhui, Hebei, Sichuan, Henan, Jiangxi, Liaoning, and Guangdong, which together accounted for 73% of the total subsidies. Among them, Jiangsu and Zhejiang handled more than 30,000 subsidy vehicles.
