The foundation of Vietnam’s electromechanical industry is weak and relies heavily on imports

--- Chinese mechanical and electrical industry and related products manufacturers to enter the Vietnamese market is facing a historic opportunity:

Vietnam’s demand for machinery and technology is very strong, and Vietnam’s domestic industry is still in its infancy and cannot meet the needs of social development. At the same time, Chinese companies applied for 184,000 preferential China-ASEAN free country certificates and exported US$5.1 billion worth of goods to ASEAN.   In accordance with the tax reduction model prescribed by the Free Trade Zone, from January 1, 2007, China’s average tariff on ASEAN has dropped to 5.8%; on January 1, 2009, it further dropped to 2.4%. After China and ASEAN’s tariff reduction plan for goods trade was formally launched, this will undoubtedly lead to a further increase in the bilateral trade volume between China and ASEAN, and China’s enterprises will face more favorable development opportunities in exploring the ASEAN market.

At this stage, the Vietnamese market has a very strong demand for various machinery and equipment and related products to promote social and economic development.
