What is different is that this igniter combines the high voltage package and the ignition circuit to become an integrated igniter; therefore, the circuit connection between the igniter and the high voltage package is absolutely guaranteed, and the reliability and safety are better than the split ignition. The system is one level higher and the external wiring is also simple.
After a few years, this igniter can still be used, I am curious about how it is performing now. Press the electric start, only the start is sensitive, the idle speed is stable, the starting and the acceleration are normal. From the reaction of the car condition, there is no difference between the igniter and the popular variable angle igniter on the scooter.
So this is both happy and strange for me. It is gratifying to note that it seems that this igniter can make the ignition performance of the pedal motorcycle stable and reliable. Surprisingly, this igniter appears to have little practical significance in installing a variable angle igniter on a scooter.
The igniter's variable angle effect is very obvious to the engine. Why is it not obvious on the scooter? This starts with the characteristics of the scooter. The general scooter uses the GY6 engine; this type of engine with a stepless shifting of the belt pulley has a very different speed characteristic than the geared engine.
As usual, the idle speed of the GY6 engine is about 1800r/min, the starting speed is 3000r/min, the speed of the disk is 4300r/min, and the standard speed is 6000r/min. (The maximum speed can reach 8000~~12000r/min, but it is not recommended, the engine will be played very quickly!) A rough look, you know that the working area is in the second half of the speed.
Compared with the geared engine, the starting speed of the GY6 has reached half of the standard speed. In addition to the deceleration of the belt pulley, starting is not very difficult. The more difficult place is the 4300r/min speed change zone, which is the most difficult area for the engine and carburetor. It should be said to reduce the ignition advance angle.
However, the current popular scooter angle igniters in China are almost all in the range of 2500~~3500r/min. In this way, the variable angle function of the igniter does not help the engine's variable speed, except that the start and idle speed use a small ignition angle, which is almost a large ignition angle after starting.
For some 125ml GY6 engines, the small ignition angle can make the start smooth and the idle speed stable; but for the masters like the ZYQ and the 50 lambs, after the carburetor is properly adjusted, it is not necessary to change the angle. The device is also sensitive to start, stable at idle speed, normal start, and high speed.
The main difference here is that the ignition angle of start-up and idle speed is also 26 degrees. Although it seems that the ignition advance angle is larger, it is not very favorable for stable idle speed; but this has obvious oil-saving effect on small throttle, if idle oil The steam concentration adjustment is good. After using the habit, I can't feel it is wrong.
It is said that this scooter has run nearly 40,000 kilometers, half of which is run by this integrated igniter. Usually, the car is not driven, and the frame has been broken and the belt has been replaced. However, the engine has not gone wrong, and the crankcase has not been opened. The fuel consumption rate is about 2L per 100 kilometers.
One of the biggest drawbacks of using an AC-CDI igniter is that the ignition power is not strong at startup, so I prepared a DC variable angle igniter for it. However, after reading his car condition, the use of the fixed-angle integrated igniter is still OK. It seems that the capacitor charging circuit of the West Lake 90 igniter should be changed to the DC boost mode.
There have been many people who have switched to the West Lake 90 integrated igniter, but there are not many people who have changed the triggering table for this change; if you want to enhance the starting effect, you can change the long-shaped triggering boss to a stepped one. The firing angle, the firing angle will be automatically advanced after starting (this requires a certain amount of hands-on ability).
The effect of the magnetic sensation angle of the double convex trigger is that the angular rotation speed is about 800~~1500r/min, and the idling area is not exceeded. This is a pity. Depending on the size structure of the triggering boss, it is not easy to change the variable angular speed to 2500r/min after the idle speed, usually by the angle control circuit of the igniter.
In this way, the main difference between the double convex angle of the integrated igniter and the variable angle using the variable angle igniter is that it is highlighted at the starting rotational speed. When using the double convex angle of the triggering boss, it is a large advance angle; when using the variable angle igniter, the advance angle between the small firing angle and the maximum firing angle is given.
With such a high starting speed and variable speed of the scooter, it is undoubtedly suppressing the variable angle characteristics of N domestic variable angle igniters, and it is not necessary for 50 lambs. (Actually, many car dealers use the fixed-angle igniter when they are equipped with igniters for the lambs, and their reliability is not as good as the West Lake 90 igniter.)
Fortunately, there was an expert who pointed out that I made an igniter TB8 suitable for scooters; the variable angle area of TB80 is 2500~~5000r/min, and the maximum advance angle is 32 degrees, which is different from those of ordinary igniters. It is not the same thing at all. (The method of simplifying the triggering boss has been found, so the TB80 igniter does not make much sense).
In view of the speed characteristics of the pulley of the scooter, it will not change for a long time; so I sometimes want to develop an igniter dedicated to the scooter; use the trigger signal of the front and rear edges of the triggering boss and the two-way The thyristor ignition circuit uses a DC igniter with a 12V battery (the idea comes from a certain person).
Depending on the igniter that triggers the angle of the boss, it is easy to get close to the high voltage package. The simple angled circuit can be used. According to the triggering characteristics of the triggering boss and the triac, the starting ignition angle is arranged at 8 degrees, and the ignition angle of the idle speed is started. Arranged at 18 degrees, the ignition angle is increased to 28 degrees after the belt is changed.
Using a DC boost circuit, the ignition voltage can be doubled at startup to create four times the sparking energy to enhance the cold start performance during the cold season. At present, the problem is still a high voltage package. When the large high voltage package is discharged, the magnetic field is super strong, and there is some interference to the trigger circuit.
As for the best variable angle igniter circuit that can take advantage of the trailer, the ignition circuit can be selected to change the angular speed range and the variable angular rate. Up to now, the outer casing and the DC boost circuit and the high voltage package have not been added.
Why do some scooters use a fixed angle igniter?
Once upon a time, this edition was fortunate to see someone who designed the unique West Lake 90 igniter to a GY6 scooter. The igniter is powered by the AC output of the magneto, with a trigger circuit, but no angle change function. A typical simple version of the four-stroke AC-CDI igniter.
