Second, continue to work with relevant professional associations and related companies to organize technical personnel to make every effort to provide all kinds of preparations for disaster relief in the disaster area. Third, in conjunction with the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the State Administration of Work Safety, the relevant departments of the disaster area investigation and communication, do their utmost to ensure that the disaster-affected petrochemical companies survive the storm.
China National Petroleum Corporation has taken effective measures to do everything possible to guarantee the supply of refined oil in the disaster-hit areas, and urgently arranged to add 100,000 tons of refined oil to Sichuan and donated 10 million yuan to the disaster-stricken areas in Sichuan. At the same time, it also actively organizes forces to participate in local rescue work. Each of the two fire brigades in southwest oil and gas fields in Chongqing and Suining sent a rescue team consisting of 10 people. They have already carried large-scale rescue equipment and equipment to the disaster area. The emergency rescue team organized by Lanzhou Petrochemical Corporation started six engineering vehicles and also rushed to the disaster area. After receiving instructions from the National Emergency Command Center for Safety Production, Urumqi Petrochemical Company has already made preparations for the relief of supplies and equipment and is on standby at any time.
China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation quickly deployed earthquake relief work, demanded full protection of the supply of refined oil in the disaster area, actively coordinated the railway sector, and urgently increased its capacity for transport and dispatch. After coordination, the Ministry of Railways issued consecutive ministry orders from the afternoon of the 12th to the 13th. Emergency dispatch of 50 diesels from the Jingmen Refinery to Chengdu, and 40 diesels from the Changling Refinery to Mianyang, from the Yueyang Refinery Transferred 50 diesels to Chengdu.
On May 13th, China National Offshore Oil Corporation donated 10 million yuan to China Charity Federation to support the earthquake relief work in Sichuan Province and other places. The donation actions of employees in all units within the system have also been fully carried out. As of noon on the 14th, donations to the affected areas totaled 3.12 million yuan.
Sinochem Corporation also made a decision to donate 10 million yuan worth of disaster relief materials worth 1 million yuan to the earthquake-stricken areas in Sichuan to support the local government in disaster relief and provide a love for the people in the affected areas. In addition, Sinochem Fertilizer's second largest shareholder, Canada's Saskatchewan Potash Corp, also decided to donate 1 million US dollars to the earthquake-stricken areas in China.
The staff of the Shanghai Huayi (Group) Company immediately took action after the earthquake and donated money to support the disaster area. In the Huayi Group headquarters, all employees took out one-day wages to the people in the disaster area. Huayi’s two-dollar group company urgently prepared 100,000 White Elephant batteries, 5,000 medicine soaps, 5,000 pairs of shoes and 10,000 pairs of rain boots and donated them to the disaster area.
It is also learned that the China Petrochemical Association has cooperated with the China Chlor-Alkali Industry Association to contact Shanghai Chlor-Alkali Chemical Co., Ltd. to urgently allocate 300 tons of bleaching powder and ready to transport to the disaster area.
