Lower shaft development plan
The development of the lower shaft is a common method for exploiting the steep ore body. The shaft is placed outside the moving boundary of the lower part of the ore body (while retaining a safe distance), as shown in Figure 7-5a . A number of stone gates are drilled from the shaft to connect with the ore body. The advantage of this scheme is that the wellbore maintenance conditions are good, and there is no need to keep the security pillars; the disadvantage is that the deep stone gates are long, especially when the ore body inclination angle becomes small, the Shimen wellbore maintenance conditions are good, and there is no need to leave the security pillars; the disadvantage is deep The stone gate is long, especially when the dip angle of the ore body becomes small, and the length of the stone gate increases sharply with the increase of the mining depth. Generally speaking, the ore body inclination angle of 60o or more is most advantageous, but the ore body inclination angle is about 55o . This method can also be adopted as a small mine. Due to the small lifting equipment in small mines, blind deep shafts (secondary lifting) can be used to reduce the length of the stone gates (see Figure 7-5b ).
