At present, Audi has not revealed the name of the new concept coupe, but foreign media have pointed out that the car is associated with the Audi A9. The concept car will give the public a glimpse of the Audi A9 in terms of size, outline shape, configuration features, and more. At the same time, the new design language led by Audi's new design director Marc Lichte will also be reflected in the new concept car. The future Audi Q7 rear-wheeler from the entry-level Audi A1 to next year will be adopted.
In addition to the exterior design, this new Audi concept car will also showcase Audi's latest advances in interiors, including the new digital center console dashboard that Audi will adopt in the future. It is reported that the Audi A9 will be released around 2016 to 2017, targeting the top luxury flagship coupe, with competitors targeting high-end versions of the Porsche Panamera, Aston Martin Rapide, and Mercedes-Benz CLS.
The blueprint for the Audi A9 will be the Modularer Längsbaukasten (Modularer Längsbaukasten). The latest Audi A4 to A8 are based on this platform, such as Audi A4 (B8)-Typ 8K, Audi A5-Typ 8T, Audi A6 (C7)-Typ 4G, Audi A7-Typ 4G, Audi A8 (D4)- Typ 4H.
