ABB Nearly 100 Motors Selected for Energy Saving Promotion Catalog

ABB, the world's leading power and automation technology group, announced that its three-phase asynchronous motors with 92 specifications and models in its M3BP and M3BA series were listed in China's “Energy Saving Products Huimin Project” high-efficiency motor promotion catalog. The selected energy-efficient motors are all locally manufactured by ABB and range in power from 0.55 kW to 315 kW.

The ABB series motors listed in the promotion catalogue have high reliability and safety. Their working efficiency is on average 2-3 percentage points higher than that of similar products commonly used in the country, and they can be used in conjunction with inverters to achieve the best energy efficiency performance. Among them, M3BP series motors are ABB's high efficiency low-voltage process motors manufactured in China. They have high-precision operation capability, and in particular meet the complex demands of high-energy-efficient motors in process production industries with high requirements for continuity of production operations.

Over the years, ABB's motor business unit has been committed to the production, promotion and certification of energy-efficient products. In May 2008, the business unit completed the recording of energy efficiency labeling and testing laboratories, and became the first member of the China Energy Efficiency Labeling Credit Enterprise Alliance in the second half of 2008. In 2009, ABB's motor business unit passed the on-site audit of the China Energy Efficiency Labeling Center's Energy Efficiency Testing Laboratory. Its three-phase asynchronous motors, M3BP and M3BA, also successfully passed the certification of China Energy Conservation Products of China Quality Certification Center in 2009 and 2010 respectively.
